I was walking down my hall this morning and glanced at the wall... for some reason as I read the sign hanging in my hallway, I stopped in my tracks... it was very briefly but it made me think...
I'm sure Heavenly Father looks at his children and the vain world we've become and is so sad at what is being done in the name of beauty ... I would hope that "being your own kind of beautiful" is something that will make you better on the inside where it really counts...
I have 2 beautiful daughters who will soon be in their teenage years.... as a mother I see my children as beautiful, no matter what, there is nothing that can change the way I see them. I'm sure as the next few years unfold and they try to figure out "who" they are it won't be easy to sit on the "side line" and watch them go through this painful process of (hopefully it won't be, but if memory serves me correctly... it was pretty bad) finding their own beauty within... the world makes it so tough for teens and even pre-teens... I hope that the teachings of the Gospel of Jesus Christ will help them to understand that Beauty is not what is seen by the eye but it is felt in your heart.
This has made me think about how much I love quotes... so I'm going to start including them as a regular entry here on my blog... even song lyrics may sneak in from time to time.
