More snow pics! Scroll down for the first set posted earlier.

The Shed where we got the Yukon stuck last night, this morning the dug up road is covered in 8 inches of fresh snow (that on top of the 12-15 that were already on the ground last night)!
I've always wondered about the light blue underside of the porch roof but it sure added some color to this very white portrait today. And the neighbors very Banana yellow house too.
This is a tree the branches held our Christmas lights, these branches are a good 4-5 feet off of the ground... with the help of the wind the snow is over 3-4 feet deep in some places on the property just overnight.

The side of the shed, do you see the bullseye... it's always made me smile!

My sweet baby! Some over due pics!

Sweet Liz... what's up?
Loving her blueberries!
Look at those purple blueberry hands...
My sweet girl.
Lunch for a queen!
What mom?

SNOW! Today Friday February 26th!

Our house buried in snow!
Mike digging us out, or digging himself out so he can go to work!
SNOW day for the rest of us!

The Cottage on the property... this picture doesn't do the path depth justice! The cottage is set up on a hill!

Hailey making her way down the hill of snow, piled up from all the removal from our driveway.
.
Hailey made it over the hill! Then she declared "Victory is mine"!
Our driveway entrance... it's really ridiculously deep.  Love it!  See the pile from the plow... They keep building us a huge 3 foot wall to remove just to get out of the driveway.  The joy of living on a dead end Private drive.
Our house is buried... it's postcard worthy don't you think?
Mike leaving for work!  Thank heaven for 4x4's!
Mike Digging us out for the 2nd time in 12 hours!  Thanks honey, it was sure fun to play in the snow with you!

Winter Wonderland.  Our side yard (we call the forest)!  Just breath taking in person!

Thank you mother nature for such a beautiful view!  Now hopefully our power stays on with all of the heavy weighted snow!  Warm thoughts!!!

Ah the snow!

It's snowing again!  We have had a rough winter here in NY!  They had a 1/2 day for our town schools (I'm sure it was because they anticipate closing them tomorrow and they don't want to use up all of their snow days for the year back to back).   So I went to pick up my girls and my Yukon with 4 wheel drive was sliding all over the roads.  It's such a mess when the weather doesn't cooperate here.  The roads are narrow to begin with, barely wide enough for 2 cars to drive down the road side by side.  If someone happens to "oh no" park on the road, it reminds me of driving on back canyon roads, one lane, you have to pull over and let them pass before you can proceed.  Now mind you I live 20 minutes from NYC... and this is just so funny to me.  LACK of planning and growth needs.  It's so different than the almost too wide roads you find in my home state of Utah.  Even after 4 years of living here, I'm still amused by it!

The fact is it was NOT amusing to watch cars slipping and sliding just to get their kids home from school... my own Sweet Hailey slipped in front of my car... in the road, it's such a mess and it's supposed to continue through tomorrow.  We've decided to clean the house and then bundle up and enjoy the warmth of a fire and some "road snacks" as Ammon named them this morning.  Similar to going on a road trip but we're stuck at home.  It's going to be a fun mom and kids day today!  I am truly excited for it.

Life

Have you ever had a period of time in your life when you just find yourself wishing for changes?  I find that this can be a very rocky road.  I have nothing to complain about, nothing... we are so blessed.  I have 5 beautiful, healthy (most of the time), happy and fun loving children.  Mike has a good job, which is so huge in this economy.  We have a beautiful home, cars to drive, clothes to wear, food on the table, running water, a heated home and so many other luxuries in this life.  And yet, lately, I find the thought crossing my mind... if only we could do, or change (fill in the blank).  I am not sure why I am stuck in this wishing phase.  I'm trying to be a good friend, sister, mother, wife, caregiver and neighbor, and yet I find myself desiring change... could it be due to the fact that our family has never stayed put in one place for so long (4 years)!  Am I just so used to "moving and starting over" that my entire being is ready to do it again?  I never thought of myself as much of the "adventurous" type.  I am a home body, I enjoy being home with an occasional short trip here and there.  Honestly my home makes me happy, my children make me happy.  Now if I could just get rid of this nagging that is making me wish for changes... we all know where that can lead (last time from West coast to the East Coast)....

My Sister

Good news from the MRI, they have ruled out a tumor and MS... relief and yet frustration because they still don't know what is causing the pain and vision problems.  Prayers are felt thanks to all of you who have been so great and loving and voiced your love and concern Jenn can feel it.

Life just isn't fair

I know it seems so lame to say it but honestly... Life isn't fair.  My sweet sister Jenn has had a pretty rough year... medical problems, job stresses due to the economy, etc.  She just found out she needs to have an MRI the doctor suspects a Brain Tumor.  I am at a loss... All I can do is ask my friends and family to PRAY, PRAY, PRAY for her and her family.  She needs all of the love, support and spiritual strenth she can get right now.  We are also having a family fast this Sunday for her if any of you would like join us.
