So for those of you who may not realize it the explosion that happened today was on the street where Mike works, Lexington Ave near Grand Central Station, he watched the "smoke" or what they thought was smoke that I guess ended up being Steam and evacuated the building... Mike being the only one in his company who decided he felt safer up in the builiding that down on the street where the explosion occured so he was back at work....
One person was killed a bunch were injured or hospitalized. They are saying it was a "transformer" that exploded and it was an ACCIDENT. Somehow that doesn't make me feel any better.
Mike called and is on the train home 4 hours after this all started to unfold, the train lines are back up and running. UGH.... as much as I love NY this was the one thing that worried me.... Pretty scary!
